Were you aware? The current requirement of the 100 lb minimum force for handrail stall tests in the escalator industry began as early as 2002 and has remained unchanged through the 2019 code. The public heavily relies on 'Safe' handrails that pass the required 100 lb force minimum, along with current test records that contain witnessed readings above 100 lbs.
